Here's a delicious Brazilian dish that parents can easily prepare with their children:
Pão de Queijo (Brazilian Cheese Bread)
Ingredients:
2 cups tapioca flour (also known as tapioca starch)
1 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup grated cheese (traditionally, use Brazilian Minas cheese, but you can also use Parmesan cheese)
2 eggs
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a mini muffin tin or line it with paper liners.
In a saucepan, combine the milk, oil, and salt. Heat over medium heat until it starts to simmer.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the tapioca flour, stirring until well combined.
Let the mixture cool slightly, then add the grated cheese and eggs, mixing until you have a smooth dough.
Scoop the dough into the prepared mini muffin tin, filling each cup about 3/4 full.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the pão de queijo is puffed up and golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Enjoy these warm and cheesy Brazilian cheese bread bites with your child as a tasty snack or side dish! They're perfect for dipping into sauces or enjoying on their own. Bon appétit! 🧀
